I am endlessly inspired by the land of Israel. I love this tiny and varied land. It breathes and speaks of a history even metaphysically beyond time and space. To walk its ancient paths and experience its deep valleys, high, expansive rocky peaks; To contemplate the contrasts of lights and darks, lines and colors of the changing contours of time, is – without a doubt, a gift to behold.
To capture even glimpses special slivers of the land on paper or canvas is my hope.
On site work in and around Jerusalem includes the Botanical Gardens, the Jerusalem forest , Beit Zeit, and Mevaseret. In Northern Israel : in and around the Hula Reserves. The majority of work is in either full pastel or oil paint : 58 x 77 cm. Watercolor of Hulla ½ size.
